All 15 conservation area lots acquired to date are in official Florida Scrub-jay habitat zones of the County and we have confirmed their presence.
4 Gopher Tortoises burrows are protected.
Deep Creek:
Both of the conservation area lots acquired are in an official Florida Scrub-jay habitat zone of Charlotte County and we have confirmed their presence.
Multiple Gopher Tortoise burrows are protected.
Englewood:
The single conservation area lot acquired is in an official Florida Scrub-jay habitat zone of Charlotte County and we have confirmed their presence.
El Jobean:
Of the 4.176 conservation area acres, 39% is are Mixed Wetland Hardwoods. 1.91 acres are Pine Flatwoods and .287 acres are Palmetto Prairies. The remaining .225 acres are Brazilian Pepper and .124 acres are Disturbed Land, both of which we will be addressing with land management procedures in 2025.
This conservation area is hosting 1 Gopher Tortoise confirmed to date.
Port Charlotte:
1 Gopher Tortoise burrow is protected.
South Gulf Cove:
